Ethereal Return is a series of painted photographs, taken in the Carpathian Mountains, very close to Moldoveanu Peak – the highest in Romania – during the Summer Solstice. It is presented in two parts, necessary as they were painted during different vital and artistic periods. The second and most recent part, showcased in this collection, consists of 3 artworks: Rekindled, Rise and Becoming. These self-portraits express the freedom, the beauty and the sublime of being fully immersed and embraced by wild nature – the right environment for a deep transformation of self.
